Alabama is my home. I was born in Tuscaloosa and lived in Knoxville, Tennessee and Austin, Texas before my family settled in Montgomery in 1976. I graduated from high school locally at Lanier High School. I felt very fortunate to have had classes in the early days of the LAMP program at Lanier. My undergraduate studies were completed here in town at Auburn University at Montgomery.
I attended the University of Alabama School of Medicine at the University of Alabama Birmingham (UAB) before completing my residency at the Tuscaloosa Family Medicine Residency. I was named VA Internal Medicine Student of the Year while in Tuscaloosa. I enjoyed position on the Resident Selection Committee and was active in recruiting to the residency program.
I decided in 1995 to establish my family medicine practice here in Montgomery. Through the years, I developed a special interest in advanced dermatology and laser skin treatments. I have treated my patients for a variety of chronic skin conditions with these new modalities.
In order to provide a better service to my patients, I have received advanced training in procedures to assist patients in achieving the best possible skin condition. To best serve this growing need, I have opened Montgomery's first medical spa: Montgomery Aesthetics MedSpa Skin and Laser Center. This practice, conveniently situated adjacent to Montgomery Family Medicine, will specialize in BOTOX, dermal fillers, laser skin tightening, IPL, laser hair removal, and laser vein therapy.
My wife of fifteen years, the former Lori Pollard, is also from Montgomery. We currently have two sons, Ben (12) and William (6), and one daughter Shelby (9). We have enjoyed returning to our hometown. We enjoy spending time together playing most sports including softball, baseball, cycling and basketball. We are heavily involved in church activities at Vaughn Forest Baptist Church and are proud to represent Christ in our daily life. I would like to extend a warm welcome to our growing medical practice at Montgomery Family Medicine.
